Local Coastal Plan Workshop Coming Soon!

You are invited to attend and participate in the virtual May 25, 2021 Board of Supervisors Local Coastal Plan Workshop. The workshop will begin at or after 1:30pm, and because of the COVID-19 Shelter-in-Place Order, will be conducted online via Zoom.

At this workshop, Permit Sonoma, will provide the Board of Supervisors with a summary of comments received as part of the Topic Based Workshops held in February and March of 2021, and other comments and recommendations received. The item will also include a report on next steps in development of policy options for the Planning Commission Draft.

This workshop is an opportunity to help Sonoma County develop a Local Coastal Plan that establishes an effective framework for guiding development while preserving sensitive resources and protecting public access along the Sonoma Coast. The Board will provide an opportunity for the public to provide comments at the workshop, but you are encouraged to provide written comments to PRMD-LCP-Update@sonoma-county.org as soon as possible in advance of the workshop.

Materials for this workshop and staff presentation are available at: https://sonomacounty.ca.gov/PRMD/Boards-Commissions-and-Committees/Items-of-Significant-Public-Interest/. Click the “Show More” button under “May 25, 2021 – Local Coastal Plan Update Workshop” to access the documents.

Sonoma County wants to hear from everyone!

Please encourage anyone you know that is interested in participating to subscribe to the Local Coastal Plan email list at: https://service.govdelivery.com/accounts/CASONOMA/subscriber/new?topic_id=CASONOMA_309.

There will be additional opportunities to provide input and recommendations in advance of and at the Planning Commission, Board of Supervisors, and Coastal Commission hearings.

This blog will be updated as announcements are made.
