Item 8 is shown here as it relates to Coastal Zone Parks...
8. Coastal Zone Parks have continued to attract a significant number of daily visitors by vehicle despite the March 23, 2020 and April 28, 2020 Park Closure Orders. The majority of these visitors have traveled from outside of Sonoma County, and there are limited public safety resources to enforce the Health Officer’s COVID-19 related Orders, including this one, in these remote areas. Therefore, all Parks, trails, and beaches in the Coastal Zone, as defined by the County of Sonoma Local Coastal Plan, shall be closed from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., daily. All Coastal Zone Parks, trails, and beach access must be initiated from one’s residence and may not involve the use of a motor vehicle to travel to any Park, trail or beach in the Coastal Zone.
During the times that beaches are open, they are to be used only for running, walking, cycling, water sports, or other form of physical activity. Sitting, lying, sunbathing, sightseeing, picnicking, and all other non-exercise, passive, or sedentary activities at beaches are prohibited. In addition, the following items are prohibited for use or possession on beaches for the duration of this Order: umbrellas, shade structures, tents, barbeques and grills, coolers, beach chairs, or other conveyances for sitting or lying.

As you approach the Sonoma Coast, on Highway One, formerly the Spanish “Camino Real” (Royal Road), toward the historic town of Bodega Bay, your shoulders begin to relax and a sense of calm begins to set in. Driving up Harbour Way and turning either direction on the Heron Drive loop, will soon take you to the view of the bay, extending into the Pacific Ocean. Day or night, sun or fog, rain or shine, the view is stunning and the special feel of this neighborhood will draw you in, as it has done for millennia. It was settled by Native Americans, the Spanish and the Russian pioneers and now, by people, like you, who appreciate the surrounding, unspoiled natural beauty of the Sonoma Coast. Our Bodega Harbour Homeowners’ Association (HOA) has the responsibility of maintaining that special beauty and the feeling it evokes, and we welcome your support.
Our full time and part time residents, as well as the owners of rental properties, collaborate to ensure that the Bodega Harbour community continues to provide the welcoming experience that has attracted us, and our many visitors, to stay or visit frequently. The golf course, which meanders through much of the South Harbour section of our community, is both beautiful and challenging. The clubhouse and the course staff are among the best anywhere. The Bluewater Bistro restaurant has an excellent menu and offers top entertainment.
At the clubhouse, you and your family will find tennis, pickle ball and bocce courts, as well as a swimming pool. Beach access is provided via a maintained path, including stairways to help manage the steep hills of the Coast. A small gym is also available for members of the HOA. Directly affiliated with the HOA is the Bodega Harbour Yacht Club, which can be made available for larger events, including catering, if required.
The North Harbour section, of our community, is only minutes away, on the other side of California Highway One, and it climbs the hillsides, providing excellent views of the Bodega Bay harbor, the Bird Walk, Doran Beach and the Pacific. As a part of our HOA, all of the amenities are also available to the residents of that portion of our community.

A Community Managed By Local Members
All owners are encouraged to participate in our HOA. They are invited to attend our regular meetings, as well as participate in committees and serve in our elected positions. Our HOA guidelines are aligned with the mandates of the California Coastal Commission, which provides homeowners to maintain and improve their properties, without having to directly interface with that governing body...a significant advantage, for those who are familiar with life along the California Coast. The HOA is also fully transparent, and our residents have a say in all major decisions. We’re enhancing community living, one resident at a time.
WHO WE ARE
With over 700 homes, our community HOA is managed by home owners, and is assisted by Kemper Sports, which provides the corporate infrastructure to maintain the staffing for the golf course management, restaurant services and address legal issues, as needed. They provide management advice based on their experience with over 130 facilities, nationwide.
KemperSports began full management of the Bodega Harbour’s HOA, clubhouse, dining and golf course experience in 2005. This premier coastal community is situated in Sonoma County, boasting over 700 homes featuring an 18-hole Robert Trent Jones Jr. golf course with ocean views, clubhouse, fitness center, tennis, aquatics and two dining outlets.
